This is a season of breakthrough. The tides are changing as a new season of my glory falls. You will no longer contend for things of the flesh but for things of the Spirit. And your focus on me in the next season is vital to the kingdom of God. The tide is changing with the season I am bringing you into. I am calling you higher to operate from a higher altitude. In Matthew 17:20, we learn that if we have faith the size of a mustard seed, we can move mountains. But what if the mountain that needs to be removed is right between our ears? Philippians 4:8 instructs us to think about things that are good, honorable, trustworthy, right, pure, lovely, and admirable—things that are worthy of praise. Yet, we live in a world filled with confusion, heartache, disease, anger, frustration, and worry, where negativity is often sown into our thoughts instead of the truth found in God's Word. Romans 12:2 tells us not to conform to the world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. However, it's challenging to transform our minds when the chaos around us consumes our thoughts.

What you feed will grow. Just as children who are not properly nourished fail to thrive, and plants and animals that lack nourishment do not flourish, the same applies to your thought life. You can control what you feed your mind and, in turn, what you wish to cultivate in your life. Consider the examples of a pianist, artist, athlete, or dancer—each individual striving for excellence must commit to a lifestyle of discipline and practice. Transforming our minds and removing the mountains that often hold us captive require a daily commitment to discipline. By focusing on positive influences, we can cultivate healthy thought patterns that transform our minds. This can be difficult to accomplish alone, but with God, all things are possible! And if God is for you, no one can be against you!

What you believe can either hold you captive or set you free. It starts with your mindset and the faith of a mustard seed to help remove the obstacles in your path.

Some of us have been sitting at the wrong table and running in the wrong circle. Knowing how to set healthy boundary’s is something we could all use a lesson in from time to time. So in this blog I share with you lessons about friendship I have learned in life.
  • Surround yourself with people who will encourage you in your walk with Jesus.
  • Those who will step in when the rest of the world steps out. 
  • People who speak life rather than death and discouragement over your situation.
  • Surround yourself with those who are loyal and remind you that you are never alone.
  • Those who will pray with you and for you when you can’t find the words. 
  • Those who talk to God about you instead of to others about you.
  • People who challenge you to rise up with courage without competition.
  • Those who are faithful and quietly believe with us in God’s plan for our life even when it doesn’t make sense.
  • Surround yourself with those who cry with you in your sorrow and celebrate with you in your victory’s
  • Surround yourself with those who you never doubt their love and genuine concern for you.
  • Those who will lift you higher and crawl in the fox hole with you when needed.
  • Those who can laugh with you not at you, and correct you in love when you are wrong.

To me this is a true friend. And they are hard to find. But once you find them, hang on to them allow them to be who they are as they allow you to be who you are. And don’t be afraid to give your friendship some space. Because if they are truly your friend, even if you don’t see each other or speak for months or years wherever life leads you they will always have your back. And there is no distance in prayer.

]]><![CDATA[Bitter Water]]>Mon, 28 Apr 2025 21:33:40 GMThttps://www.treasuresoftheheartministries.com/blog/bitter-water     Some of us need to change our navigation system because the direction we have been going hasn't been working. Things can not continue as they have always been in the way we think, act, feel or move if we are to expect a different result. 

     The Israelite's roamed around in the wilderness for forty years on what should have been an eleven-day journey. They were provided for by the hand of God throughout the journey. Yet they chose to remain in the same familiar mindset to which they had become accustomed. Rather than shift their thinking from complaining to thankfulness, they decided to stay in denial of who God was—choosing to worship idols rather than the God who had rescued them and set them free. Thus, a whole generation died in the wilderness and could never enter the promised land. 

     God gives us the freedom to make choices of our own. And with those choices come consequences, good and bad. Unfortunately, while the Israelites decided to follow Moses with God's leading out of Egypt, they also chose to disobey, continue in unbelief, and murmur and complain all along the way. 

     Some of us have been drinking from a well of bitterness for far too long. Yet we continue to draw from other wells which contain the same bitter water as the previous one we left behind. We choose the same kind of friends, make the same financial decisions, and remain in the same lifestyle we long to escape. And we roam around the same mountain, expecting a different result. 

     It’s time to step out of the familiar territory of how it's always been by changing your thoughts. And start trusting God to lead and guide you in a new direction. It’s time to seek wise counsel and abide by it, asking God to redirect your steps and open new doors.

Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. Proverbs 4:23 (NKJV)

     It may be time for a change of character. Because a new day is dawning. It's time to see things from God's perspective rather than man's. It is time to step into a new direction for our life’s. And stop drinking from the well that will always run dry. 

The sweetness of living water is always available to us. All He wants is our heart of praise.

You will one day see wrinkles in the mirror, gray hair on your head and the pace of your step may slow. Hopefully, you will have wisdom when you speak and understanding when you were once tempted to judge. Your hands may shake, and your thoughts may come slowly. When that day comes, you will not feel old on the inside. You are still you. But others perceive you differently. You may feel you are no longer of value and are tossed aside. Your words are not valued, and your presence is an obligation. You don’t fit in, but you don’t fit out either. You may have difficulty finding your place in a world where you once kept the pace. So I would say to you now as I am in that season of my life. I have seen the spring and the newness there of. Summer and the sunshine it brings. The autumn harvest and the feeling of growth. I am now entering the winter of my life, and I say to you, young person, Do not throw your life away. Make wise decisions and listen to those who have gone before.
Value the input of those who have been where you are. They know the mistakes that can be made, and their guidance can help you grow and mature. Treat older people with the respect they deserve. They have lived long and have wisdom and blessings to share. Value their time with you on earth, for it won’t be long before they're gone. And remember, you will be in their shoes one day. Treat them as you would want to be treated. They love your energy and can relate to you. Listen and give them your time. Their talents and dreams have not diminished with age. They can still sing, dance, play instruments, cook, clean, teach, preach, encourage, laugh, lead, and guide. They may still have hopes and dreams that have not yet been accomplished, but they may be achieved through you and the wisdom you can gain from them. Open your heart, your spirit, and your mind to the opportunities found in the wisdom they carry. Yesterday is gone, today will fade away, and tomorrow will take you into a season you know nothing of. Be prepared.

I truly believe our future will look different as we leave the things of the past behind, such as old mindsets, grudges, pride, and behaviors that are not pleasing to God.​

The Israelites roamed around in the wilderness for forty years on what was supposed to be an eleven-day journey. Therefore, their thinking, complaining, and actions held them captive so that they roamed around in a continuous circle. Never able to move forward.

What we choose to carry into the next year can hold us captive or set us free. God wants to do something new in 2024. And as we ask Him to help us change our thoughts, life, actions, and words, He will draw us closer to Him.

For many, the hopes and dreams within your heart have been simmering for years. But God wants to remove what has held you captive. So that what has been hidden within your heart will overflow. People will drink from your overflowing cup of God’s love everywhere you go because your heart has been positioned in the place with Him.

Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19

It is so easy to talk about things that don't concern us. Most people have an opinion about everything. We talk about what excites our hearts and consumes our time. We also talk about others, often detrimentally. Rather than speaking life, we condemn.

Scripture tells us to love our neighbor as ourselves. The problem is we don't love ourselves. We don't love the person looking back at us in the mirror, created in God's image. We constantly degrade what God has made within ourselves and others.

What is in your heart will come out of your mouth. Have you ever been around someone who hardly spoke, yet when they opened their mouth, you were surprised at the bitterness within their heart?

What if the next time you look in the mirror and start to criticize what you see, you instead praise the God who made you? What if each time you are tempted to say things that are not uplifting about others, you say a prayer and begin praising God for them and asking God to draw them near to Him? What if, through speaking life over yourself and others, you experienced the love of Christ in a whole new way?

If we change the way we think about those (including ourselves) made in God's image, perhaps our hearts' passion will also change. Thus, from the abundance of your heart, words of love and life will flow.

What if we talked to God as much as we text or play with our phones? Or what if all phone communication were broken as we know it? All phone lines were cut, and all towers were down. What would it be like if technology as we know it today could no longer be, but our direct line to God got stronger? Is it possible that technology has become an idol in our lives, taking the place of our time with God?

I have found myself at times listening to worship music on my phone and then my mind begins to roam in another direction (Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms), causing me to be distracted from my original intent of spending time with God in the quiet place where I can hear him speak. Just Him and me isn’t just Him and me when all these other distractions come into play. Even that which started to be a good thing (listening to worship music, listening to biblical teachings) can become an idol if you let it.
It is easy to get distracted with the daily routine of life. When our time with God is no longer the passion of our heart but a daily routine. We need to take another look at the position of our heart.

As Jesus and the disciples continued on their journey, they came to a village where a woman welcomed Jesus into her home. Her name was Martha, and she had a sister named Mary. Mary sat down attentively before the Master, absorbing every revelation he shared. But Martha became exasperated with finishing the numerous household chores in preparation for her guests, so she interrupted Jesus and said, “Lord, don’t you think it’s unfair that my sister left me to do all the work by myself? You should tell her to get up and help me.” The Lord answered her, “Martha, my beloved Martha. Why are you upset and troubled, pulled away by all these distractions? Mary has discovered the one thing most important by choosing to sit at my feet. She is undistracted, and I won’t take this privilege from her.” Luke 10:38-42 (TPT)

The more time you spend with the person of the Holy Spirit, the more you get to know Him. The more you know Him, the more you love Him. It’s not about you and how much you love Him. It’s about Him, and how much you realize His love for you. It’s about posturing your heart before Him in the quiet place of rest with Him. Not being distracted by the things of this world, but sitting at His feet.

Holy Spirit, lead us into a deeper revelation of who you are. ]]><![CDATA[The harvest is Ready]]>Wed, 15 Mar 2023 02:32:29 GMThttps://www.treasuresoftheheartministries.com/blog/the-harvest-is-readyAs I was praying, I saw a vision of people coming from fields of crops that had been planted. They were coming by the millions out of the fields. And I heard the spirit of the Lord saying, the harvest is ready, but the workers are few. Where are those who will harvest the wheat? He is the God of the harvest.

The kingdom is not discovered in one place or another, for God’s kingdom realm is already expanding within some of you. Luke 17:21 (TPT)

Some are ready to harvest the fields but afraid to step out. They are fearful of what the world will say about them. Yet, where the spirit of the Lord is, there is power. Walk in it.

You will not walk in timidity but in power, love, and a sound mind. So stop dabbling in the things of the world. And set your thoughts on things above. Allow His kingdom to come within you rather than expecting it around you.

Set your affection on heaven rather than on the things of the world. Know that the lust of the flesh has no place in the kingdom of heaven. The kingdom within you will develop the spirit man within you.

Continue to press toward the mark of the hi-calling. Allow Holy Spirit to saturate your being. Go after the things of God with every part of your being. And He will meet you there.

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. Hebrews 11:1 (NLT)

If you have faith even small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it would move. Nothing would be impossible. Matthew 17:20 (NLT)

Why did Jesus use a mustard seed to illustrate faith? What do the two have in common?  Let’s take a look.

Mustard Seed:
  • It is the smallest of seeds
  • Mature plants can grow up to 30 feet tall
  • Branches and leaves span 20 feet in circumference.
  • If the seeds are allowed to mature on the plant, they will self-sow and still provide plenty for mustard making.
  • A yellow mustard seed plant can reach full maturity in 85 to 90 days. While a brown mustard plant will take 90 to 95 days to mature.
  • Packed with minerals which make your bones stronger, strengthen your hair, nails and teeth. Mustard seeds contain antioxidant and anti-inflammatory that help relieve pain in the gum, bones and teeth.
  • Will grow in most soils, but will produce the most seed in rich, well drained, well pre-pared soil.
  • It will thrive if given constant moisture.
  • It likes cool weather; and a light frost can even improve the flavor. ​
Faith:
  • With very little faith we can move mountains.
  • Faith can grow large enough to reach others
  • ​ Faith if allowed to mature will self sow and still provide enough to go round.
  • Faith can mature in a short time when in the right environment.
  • ​ Faith will strengthen the body of Chirst, by your walk and your talk
  • Faith will produce the most seed in rich soil well drained, well pre-pared time with the Lord where roots can go down deep into Him.
  • ​Faith/ will thrive when given constant moisture of the living water
  • Faith/ Loves to step in when all hope is gone.
  • ​ Because He is the God of the Impossible
Those who trust in the Lord are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever. Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, both now and forever. Psalm 125:1-2

Several weeks ago, I was praying and listening to the spirit of the Lord for what he had in store for the year 2023. I kept hearing the word awakening as I pondered this in my heart and began to ask the Lord what he wanted to say about awakening. This will be a year of spiritual Awakening for His people.

The disciples asked Jesus, why do you talk in parables when you talk to the people? Jesus answered, You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not. Therefore, those who listen to my teaching more understanding will be given, and they will have abundant knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even the little understanding they have will be taken away from them. For they look, but they don't really see. They hear, but they don't really listen or understand. This fulfills the prophecy of Isaiah that says, When you hear what I say, you will not understand. When you see what I do, you will not comprehend. For the hearts of these people are hardened, and their ears cannot hear, and they have closed their eyes so their eyes cannot see, and their ears cannot hear, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and let me heal them. Matthew 13:10-15 (NLT)

2023 will be a year of shedding. Shedding the covering and revealing the truth of who people really are. For that which has been hidden is about to be revealed, exposed in plain view for all who have eyes to see. It will be the year of release from captivity. Those who have been held captive from pursuing their God-given passions and dreams will be awakened to a new day dawning within their spirit man. Spiritual lack and poverty will become a thing of the past as those who have eyes to see and ears to hear draw near to the throne of God in the quiet place of time alone with Him.

He invites you to seek Him while He may be found. Those who seek Him will be awakened to a fresh revelation of who He is and why He came. Remember that without Him, we can do nothing. Only by the Spirit of God will the Seed planted in man's heart reproduce the things of God.

2023 will be a year of spiritual restitution because God is about to restore all that the locust has eaten. But with His promises come conditions, and your obedience and faithfulness to Him and His word are required. So allow Him to open your eyes and ears as He transforms you into the likeness of Him and who He called you to be in the earth while living from the perspective of heaven.

Just as Lazarus came forth from the grave still bound in grave clothes, many who profess to know the Lord God as Savior and King have been walking around with their spirits bound up in things of the past and lies that they believe. However, the Spirit of the Lord would say unbind them and set them free! Just as Jesus spoke and Lazarus was set free, so shall you speak, and those who are spiritually bound shall be set free. But before we can live from a heavenly dimension, we must command our souls to be still and know He is God. And then, as Samuel, we can say, "Speak Lord, for your servant is listening. And others will see, and they will know that the Spirit of the Lord is alive and well on the planet earth through His people.

Then Jesus shouted Lazarus, come out! And the dead man came out, his hands and feet bound in grave clothes, his face wrapped in a head cloth. Jesus told them, “Unwrap him and let him go!” John 11:43-44 (NLT)

Stop allowing the spirit of the world to rob you of your God-given inheritance and rise up into your rightful place as a son and daughter of the highest God and King.

In reality, the truth of God is known instinctively, for God has embedded this knowledge inside every human heart. Opposition to truth cannot be excused based on ignorance because, from the creation of the world, the invisible qualities of God's nature have been made visible, such as His eternal power and transcendence. He has made his wonderful attributes easily perceived, for seeing the visible makes us understand the invisible. So then, this leaves everyone without an excuse. Romans 1:18-20 (TPT)

Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. Ps.139:13-16

You were made by the hand of God and given everything you need to fulfill what he has called you to do. But just as a child is developed in the Mothers womb, a child is taught as it grows into an adult. We must be taught by the Holy Spirit as our character is developed. Some of us just as the Isrealites may roam around in the wilderness because of the choices we make.

And where are all the miracles our ancestors told us about? Didn’t they say, The Lord brought us up out of Egypt?” But now the Lord has abandoned us and handed us over to the Midianites.” Then the Lord turned to him and said, “Go with the strength you have, and rescue Israel from the Midianites. I’m sending you!” “But Lord,” Gideon replied, “how can I rescue Israel? My clan is the weakest in the whole tribe of Manasseh, and I am the least in my entire family!” Judges 6:11-15 (NLT)
Gideon was at the threshing floor at the bottom of a wine-press. The threshing floor is where the wheat is separated from the chaff. The wine-press is where the grapes are squeezed and the impurities are removed from the wine. I believe that it was at the threshing floor at the bottom of the wine-press that Gideon’s heart became positioned to hear the word of the Lord. It was there the angel of the Lord called Gideon who God said he was. “Mighty hero” go with the strength that you have for the Lord is with you. It was there Gideon questioned the angel of the Lord and told him how unqualified he was.

Although scripture often speaks of the threshing floor and the wine-press. It is not often that we choose to go to the threshing floor or the wine-press in the spirit realm. After all who whats to be sifted or pressed. But there are times when God calls us to the threshing floor or the wine-press to separate us from the world or our carnal nature. There are times when He just wants to get us alone to love on us and tell us who we are to Him.

It is at the threshing floor we will come to realize where the true treasure of our heart is. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. Matthew 6:19 -21 (NLT)
We must go alone to the threshing floor. It is a secret place of the deep and personal revelation of God. “Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”  Ps. 91:1 (NLT)

  • Gideon was at the thrashing floor to hide grain from his enemies Judges 6:11
  • David went to the thrashing floor for Correction 1 Chronicles 21:22-23
  • ​ Ruth went to the thrashing floor out of intimacy. Ruth 3:1-9
Each one had to go to the thrashing floor for their destiny to be fulfilled.
Many have often thought of the trashing floor as a place of correction only. But I have found it to be a place of the deeper revelation of God. As I position my heart to hear His voice in the secret place, I can hide all that He has put within me in the shelter of His mercy and grace. I am drawn to a higher place of intimacy with the Father in the place of rest with Him as He gently separates the carnal nature in me so His spirit within me can shine brighter.

Even though our navigation system is the same and nothing has changed, we continue to expect a different result.

Some of us need to change our navigation system because the direction we have been going hasn’t been working. Things can not continue as they have always been, in the way we think, act, feel or move if we are to expect a different outcome.

The Israelite's roamed around in the wilderness for forty years on what should have been an eleven-day journey. Deuteronomy 1:2

Before they left for the journey, they were given all they needed to complete it. And even though it took the Israelite's much longer than anticipated, God was with them every step of the way. He continued to provide for them and protect them. Yet they chose to remain in the same familiar mindset to which they were accustomed. Rather than shift their thinking from complaining to thankfulness, they remained in denial of who God really was. They chose to worship idols rather than the God who had rescued them. Because of their mindset, disobedience, and unbelief, only two, Joshua and Caleb were able to enter the promise land. Exodus 1-10

Sometimes we blame God or others for things that happen to us when many times, it has more to do with the decisions we make and the consequences of them. God is a loving God who gives us the freedom to make choices on our own, and with those choices come good and bad results.

While the Israelites followed Moses with God's leading out of Egypt, they also chose to disobey, continue in unbelief, and murmur and complain all along the way.

Some of us have been drinking from a well of bitterness for many years, yet we continue to seek out other wells that contain the same bitter water as the previous well that we left behind, thus getting the same results. We tend to make the same type of friendships and financial decisions and remain in the same lifestyle we long to escape. Yet we continue to roam around the same mountain yearly, expecting a different result.

Maybe it's time to seek the Lord while He may be found. Time to seek wise counsel and abide by it. To seek out new relationships and make new choices. Maybe it's time to speak to the mountain in your life and tell it to get out of your temple and off your land. It's time to leave the familiar territory where your footprint is in stone and move to another unknown place, trusting God to lead and guide you. Maybe it's time to stop blaming others and accept responsibility as your own.

So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring of life. Proverbs 4:23

Maybe it's time to change how you think, speak, and live, for this is a new day. The past has passed, and the future is what you make it. It’s time to see things from God's point of view rather than man's. Maybe it's time to enter your promised land rather than remaining in the wilderness and drinking from the well that will always run dry.

God is calling His people to come out of the walls of tradition and culture in which they have been trapped. He calls us to step out in faith, knowing that He has promised never to leave or forsake us. He is calling us away from the familiar place, of the way it has always been, so a new move of His spirit can freely fall upon the next generation.

Just as God called Abraham to step out in faith and move away from the familiar place, He is calling His people to create a pathway that is lined with a new wine skin so that His spirit may flow freely in generations to come, for they will not be held hostage to their past. This generation will go boldly to the throne of God and will not possess the spirit of timidity in the world. They will stand in their enemies' presence and proclaim the Lord's name. But they first must be released by past generations from cultures, traditions, and teachings that have held them captive. Not all of these things are wrong, but some are of man and do not line up with the word of God.

Has God not said - "My people are being destroyed for lack of knowledge. "Since you have forgotten the laws of your God, I will forget to bless your children. The glory of God has been exchanged for the shame of idols. Even to this day, the Lord would say just as He said to the church of Laodicea, "I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!" For He corrects and disciplines everyone that He loves. You are each invited to the place of solitude with Him. You are called to cleanse yourself from what is dishonorable to Him so that you may see clearly, repent and be eager to pursue what is right.

That which has always been shall be no more. There was a day and time to observe the culture and tradition of man, but that day has come and gone. So choose this day whom you will serve. The familiar place where you have grown comfortable is no longer where you belong, for God is calling you out into a new day of discovering. A day that will open the doors wide for your children and your children's children, they will be drawn out of the Fami-LIAR mentality into a truth of their own which will be given from heaven above. Because all those He loves, He will unmask and train. So again, I say Choose you this day whom you will serve. Will it be a man and the world's systems, or will it be the Lord? “And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.” Matthew 12:36-37

“The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.” So Abram departed as the Lord had instructed, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran. He was eighty five years old before he received the land that was promised to him.

  • ​David waited 14 years to become King.
David was believed to have been around 16 when Samuel anointed him to be king.
1 Samuel 16:12-13
He did not become king until he was 30.
2 Samuel 5:4-5

  • Joseph waited 13 years for his dream to come to pass.
    Joseph had a dream and shared it with his brothers when he was 17. Genesis 37:5-10
    Joseph was 30 years old when his dream came to pass. Genesis 41:37-39

  • Abraham waited 25 years for a son.
Abraham was 75 years old when he received word that he would be the father of many nations.

He invites you to come into a place of rest and peace and learn His ways which are gentle and humble.

COME: Pray and watch with me. “Sit here while I go over there to pray. He took Peter, James, and John and he became anguished and distressed. HE told them, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” Matthew 26:36-46 (NLT)
He invites us to come with Him to watch and pray.

“COME: Join me on the water be brave and don’t be afraid. I am here!” So Peter stepped out onto the water and began to walk toward Jesus. But when he realized how high the waves were, he became frightened and started to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he cried out. Jesus immmediately stretched out his hand and lifted him up and said, “What little faith you have! Why would you let doubt win?” Mattthew 14:29-31 (TPT)
He invites us to Focus on Him and have faith in Him.

“COME: up here and I will show you what must happen after this. And instantly I was in the Spirit, and I saw a throne in heaven and someone sitting on it.”

He invites you to come closer to Him. While your enemies watch.

“COME: now let’s settle this, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool. If you will only obey me, you will have plenty to eat.”

He invites you to talk with and allow Him to counsel you. He invites you to obey Him.

“COME: And dine, Come and eat my food and drink of my wine. Lay aside your simple thoughts and leave your paths behind. Agree with my ways, live in my truth, and you will find righteousness.” Proverbs 9:5-6
He invites you to eat His food and drink His wine. Lay aside your own thoughts and live in His truth. Stop believing the lies!!

COME: and drink if you are thirsty. Even if you have no money!
COME: take your choice of wine or milk it’s all free! Why spend money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen to me, and you eat what is good. You will enjoy the finest food.
COME: to me with your ears wide open. Listen and you will find life. Isaiah 54: 1-3 (NLT)
He invites you to come to Him, drink of His goodness, let Him feed you and listen with your ears open so that you will find life in Him.

The day that is set aside to celebrate the birth of Jesus the Son of God into
the earth. All over the world, Christmas is celebrated and in almost every home. Even those
who don’t believe in the Son of God, (which is the whole reason for the season) celebrate Christmas.


At Christmas time a big deal is made about giving gifts and being happy. But many who celebrate
the holiday are not happy. Some have a religion but no relationship with God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit  And some don’t have a relationship, a religion, or even believe in the one true God. 


What if this Christmas, the gift you give to others is Jesus? What if instead of spending money to buy gifts that others may not want and in most cases don’t need, we spent our time telling others about Jesus? Or what if we spent all the time it takes to shop, bake, decorate, and write Christmas cards, praying for others, or worshiping the one the holiday is supposed to be all about? What if we just stayed still, long enough to know, really know that He is God?


Many don’t  know how to be still. Of course, we know how to sit down or to collapse in bed exhausted at the end of the day. But we have not trained our minds and our spirit to become still.
If the real reason for the season is Jesus (the Son of God) I challenge you this Christmas to:
  Be still and know that He is God. Psalm 46:10

Then armed only with his shepherd’s staff and sling, he started across the valley to fight the Philistine.
1 Samuel 17: 40 {entire ref. 1 Samuel 17:1-58}
Although the Bible does not clearly state why David took 5 stones nor the meaning of each stone, I have come to believe each stone represented the following:

1.  Love vs Hate:  John 15:13
For the greatest love of all is a love that sacrifices all. And this great love is demonstrated when a person sacrifices his life for his friends.
  • David’s love for God and the people of God far outweighed any hate or rejection from the enemy.

2.  Faith vs Fear:  Philippians 4:19
God will supply all my needs according to His riches in glory
  • David’s faith in his God took over any fear of the enemy.

3.  Humility vs Pride:  1 Peter 5:5
God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.
  • David’s humility as a boy going before a giant, cast down the spirit of pride.

4.  Wisdom vs Foolishness:  Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make.
  • David’s wisdom to not try to wear Saul's armor, but to walk in His own authority and Identity from heaven, overcame the foolishness of man.

5.   Joy vs Sorrow:  Exodus 15:2
The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
  • David the worshiper found joy in the presence of the lord and it overtook the sorrow of a nation.​

​David was able to stand before a giant when the mighty warriors of the land were shaking in their boots because David knew his identity. Although a young boy, David was obedient to the God he served and refused to let a nation be sacrificed.

Obedience is better than sacrifice. 1 Samuel 15:22b

Although there will be a time of endurance it is in that place that I will cause your spirit to prosper. And I will certainly carry out my plans for you in my time. So do not become discouraged but keep your eyes on me and allow me to become the passion of your heart and life for it is there you will find peace. Posture your heart in the place of worship with me. It is in the place of your passion for me that you will find the fullness of my love for you and my voice will become clear to you. It is then and only then you will be ready to step out into the destiny and purpose to which I have called you. For I will open doors no man can shut and close doors that no man can open. So look to me, posture your heart in the place of rest with me. Listen and allow me to speak for it is there you will learn of my love for you there you will hear me whisper your name. It is in that place you will be filled to overflowing and be able to pour out onto others my love for them.


Come deep into my presence, come deep into my love
for only in my presence is what you long for from above.

You can rise above it, as you call upon my name.
