May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight, LORD
my Rock and my Redeemer.
Changing our thought life can be challenging. Many of us go through life feeling unworthy or not good enough, because we have listened and taken to heart what others may have said or may have thought about us. We base our feelings on the imagination of our own mind.
Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Philippians 4:8 (NLT)
We may not be able to change our situation in life. Where we came from, what we’ve been through or even where we are now. But we can begin to change the way we look at things. We can choose to think on the positive and make the best of a bad situation or we can continue to roll around in the pig pen of self-pity.
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength. Proverbs 17:22 (NLT)
Our thoughts and feelings are our own. No one can make us think or feel anything. Other people and things can only get in our head and heart as we allow them to. Our thoughts and feelings are a choice we make. It may be the only thing in life that we can have complete control over. It’s really none of our business what others think or feel about us.
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Romans 12:2 (NLT)
Your worth is not measured by what others think, feel or say about you. Your worth is measured by what God thinks, says and feels about you. He valued you so much he gave his son! That makes you priceless!!
For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him. John 3:16-17 (NLT)
What other people think is really nunya business! So, brush it off and move on.
