May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight, LORD
my Rock and my Redeemer.
God had a plan for your life before you were ever formed in the womb. Jeremiah 1:5
All the delicate, inner parts of your body were knit together in your mother’s womb by the hand of God. You were carefully planned out and made so wonderfully complex, because there is only one of you. No one else can take the place of God’s plan for your life. God watched you, as you were being formed in utter seclusion, as you were woven together in the dark of the womb. He saw you before you were born. Every day of your life was recorded in God’s book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” Psalm 139:13-16
Any one who has ever knitted knows that when you knit, each thread of yarn is pulled through individually. To add or change color, the new yarn color must be knitted in with the existing yarn and then knitted into the garment. If that color of yarn doesn’t really match with the color scheme of what you are making, it will become noticeable and will never really fit into the finished pattern. Or if you are knitting something and you decide to change the pattern of the stitch from the one you have been using, it will show up in your final project. If while knitting your garment, you accidentally miss a stitch, you will have a hole in your garment. The pattern and instructions must be followed carefully or your garment will not turn out correctly.
Before you were formed, God knit you together in your mothers womb. One thread, one weave, one pattern and one color at a time. That is how much God loves you and how unique you are. He never chose a pattern, stitch, or color that didn’t match who you were meant to be. He never made a mistake or missed a stitch leaving holes in His plan for your life. You were perfectly designed by the hand of God, created for His glory.
We have all made mistakes and choices we are not proud of and we may have had to suffer the consequences of those choices. Allowing the wrong people or things into our lives only to end up with a hole in our heart, finances, or future. Because we are not the weaver of the human heart, and it was not knitted together by human hands, although we may try to fix things, in many situations the damage has been done and the only one who can fix what we messed up is God himself. For even a hand knitted garment with mistakes in it can be fixed, if knitted correctly by the master hands.
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. Isaiah 43:2
We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust him more, for along with every trial God has provided you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously. 1 Corinthians 10:13
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.”
Rest is His mercy, Rest in His grace
as you sit with Him in the secret place
Allow Him to speak to your worn out soul
As you receive His love, it will make you whole.
